A Milestone in Bharatanatyam and Performing Arts Education: Siyona Jain

The Council of Educators, Inc., together with Shishya School of Performing Arts, proudly celebrates Siyona Jain as a National Credential Scholarship Recipient. This recognition honors her achievement of the Accomplished Performer Credential (APC) and the Bharatanatyam Conservatory Credential (BCC).

These credentials highlight two complementary aspects of a student's artistic journey: the development of essential life skills through sustained training and the pursuit of advanced proficiency in a classical dance tradition.

The Credentials Behind the Recognition

The Accomplished Performer Credential (APC) is designed to document sustained student development across three core domains aligned with the UNESCO Framework for Culture and Arts Education. The framework emphasizes character achievement, ensemble teamwork, poise, grit, and peer leadership, recognizing the broader impact of performing arts participation.

The Bharatanatyam Conservatory Credential (BCC) builds upon the APC prerequisite, recognizing advanced technical mastery and classical repertoire in Bharatanatyam. It celebrates continued engagement with the technique, discipline, and artistic traditions of this classical form.

Through these honors, Siyona’s achievement illustrates how performing arts education can support perseverance, collaboration, cultural understanding, and artistic expression.

The Council of Educators congratulates Siyona Jain on this accomplishment and acknowledges Shishya School of Performing Arts for its commitment to advancing student learning and achievement through the arts.
