David Knoell
Salt Lake Community College Theatre Professor Recognized as International Thought Leader by the Council of Educators
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — Salt Lake Community College is proud to recognize David Knoell, Assistant Professor of Theatre, who has been formally selected as an inaugural International Thought Leader and Founding Faculty member by the Council of Educators, Inc.
This prestigious distinction was conferred following the Council’s international session in Lisbon, Portugal, recognizing an exclusive, invitation-only group of performing arts educators and professionals who demonstrate exceptional standards of educational leadership, mentorship, character development, and professional integrity.
With extensive experience as Performing Arts Educators’ Executive Stage Manager, Knoell brings a unique perspective that bridges academic theatre education with the professional disciplines of stage management, production leadership, collaboration, and performance.
Through this designation, David Knoell joins a selective global cohort established to advance the Accomplished Performer Credential (APC)—a national framework created to document, verify, and permanently preserve students’ sustained progress through performing arts training.
As an educator and theatre professional, Knoell’s appointment reflects a commitment to recognizing not only technical achievement, but also the discipline, leadership, collaboration, and personal development that define accomplished performers and performing arts professionals.
