Westminster University Theatre Professor Recognized as International Thought Leader by the Council of Educators

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — Stephanie Stroud, Associate Professor of Theatre at Westminster University and Performing Arts Educators’ Stage Manager, has been formally selected as an International Thought Leader and Founding Faculty member by the Council of Educators, Inc.

The distinction recognizes a select, invitation-only group of performing arts educators and professionals whose work demonstrates exceptional commitment to educational excellence, mentorship, character development, and professional integrity.

Through her work as a theatre educator and Performing Arts Educators’ Stage Manager, Stroud brings together academic leadership, production expertise, and a deep understanding of the collaborative disciplines that support successful performing artists. Her experience reflects the importance of preparation, organization, communication, leadership, and sustained professional development throughout a performer’s training.

As an International Thought Leader and Founding Faculty member, Stroud joins a distinguished global cohort established to advance the Accomplished Performer Credential (APC)—a national framework designed to document, verify, and permanently preserve students’ sustained progress and achievement through performing arts training.

Her selection recognizes her contribution to the broader performing arts education community and her role in supporting the development of accomplished, disciplined, collaborative, and professionally prepared performers.
